Alki 7 is a terrace courtyard development located along Alki Beach in West Seattle, providing views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. This part of Seattle has a very restrictive parking requirement, requiring 1.5 parking space per home. The Courtyard Terrace design proved to be the only way to provide enough enclosed parking to allow full development of the site without digging down. In addition to solving the parking requirement, the courtyard design provided a large amount of open space in the center of the project. The Alki 7 project was sold as a permitted site to a local development company.
